REV. MR. JEFFREY PAVEGLIO
Jeff is from Bow, NH and is a parishioner from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America as well as a 2nd Lieutenant in the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Jeff is currently at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland. He enjoys listening and creating music, reading about Catholic apologetics, and "pretty much anything outdoors." Jeff says that his most amazing encounter with God is every time he in in the presence of the Eucharist at Mass or in Adoration. "The biggest obstacle to discernment for me was understanding that God's grace is far greater than my sins. I didn't feel worthy of priesthood. Also selfless service has always been important to me, but my priority was selfless service to others, fitting God in when I could. Once I put God first discernment was easy, and the real problem became how to serve him. Was I called to religious life or was I called to Diocesan Priesthood? I still struggle with this question, and must be called everyday. He doesn't just call once, it must be an ongoing conversion." Jeff also says that he loves "being out on the front lines in the battle for the right to life."
PRAYER TO KNOW ONE'S VOCATION
My Lord and my God, you are Love itself, the source of all love and goodness. Out of love you created me to know you, to love you, and to serve you in a unique way, as no one else can. I believe that you have a plan for my life, that you have a mission in your Kingdom reserved for me alone. Your plan and your mission are far better than any other I might choose: they will glorify you, fulfill the desires of my heart, and bring salvation to those souls who are depending on my generous response.
Lord grant me the light of grace I need to see the next step in Your plan; grant me the generosity necessary to follow your call; and grant me the courage required to take up my cross and to follow you.
Show me your will, O gentle and eternal God, and help me to say with Mary, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word. Let me say with Jesus, Let not my will be done, but yours. Amen.
It's about time for us to consider this ministry once again. There are about two dozen Knights and loved ones in this ministry and an hour/week is a blessing for you, and the prayers you offer are heard.
